The founding story of San Miguel Middle School of Tulsa closely mirrors the stories of the families it serves: small and humble beginnings, dreams larger than life, and raw determination to make things happen.
Thanks to the Bishop of Tulsa, Most Reverend Edward J. Slattery, and the priests of St. Francis Xavier Parish, the students have access to support services such as Catholic Charities, a medical clinic, immigration services and bilingual classes. Volunteers from elementary schools and Bishop Kelley High School in the Tulsa diocese, Augustinian sponsored Cascia Hall Middle and High Schools and Benedictine sponsored Monte Cassino Elementary and Middle Schools have given and continue to give thousands of hours to San Miguel. Local companies, Foundations and members of the Catholic, Protestant and Jewish communities have proven to be generous benefactors as well.
The Impact of San Miguel extends beyond the boundaries of Tulsa. We are a part of a national network of Nativity Miguel schools that are attempting to alleviate the cycle of poverty through education. Along with these schools, San Miguel Tulsa is laying the foundation for a better society.
